What is eucalyptus Tencel bedding?
Eucalyptus Tencel bedding is made from the pulp of eucalyptus trees. Tencel is a brand name for lyocell, a sustainable fiber that's known for its environmental benefits and luxurious silk like feel.
How is Tencel bedding different from cotton bedding?
Tencel bedding is more breathable, moisture-wicking, and softer than traditional cotton. It's also more eco-friendly, using less water and chemicals in its production.
Is eucalyptus Tencel bedding hypoallergenic?
Yes, Tencel bedding is naturally hypoallergenic, making it a great choice for those with sensitive skin or allergies.
How do I care for my eucalyptus Tencel sheets?
Tencel sheets are machine washable. Use a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent. It's recommended to line dry them, but if you must use a dryer, choose a low heat setting.
Why does eucalyptus Tencel feel so cool to the touch?
Tencel fibers are naturally breathable and regulate temperature well, wicking away moisture and allowing heat to escape, which gives them their cool feel.
Are eucalyptus Tencel beddings sustainable?
Yes, Tencel is produced in a closed-loop process that recycles 99.7% of the resources used. Eucalyptus trees also grow quickly and require less water and pesticides compared to cotton.
Will the color of my Tencel bedding fade over time?
Tencel fibers absorb dye better than cotton, ensuring long-lasting color. However, as with all textiles, it's best to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent fading.
Are there any chemicals used in eucalyptus Tencel bedding?
Tencel production uses non-toxic solvents in a closed-loop process, where over 99.7% of the solvent is recycled. This means the end product is free from harmful chemicals.
How durable is Tencel bedding?
Tencel fibers are strong and long-lasting. With proper care, eucalyptus Tencel bedding can maintain its softness and quality for years.
Why might I experience less frizz and breakouts with Tencel sheets?
The smooth surface of Tencel fibers reduces friction on the skin and hair, which can lead to less frizz and fewer breakouts compared to other materials.
Is all lyocell fiber the same as Tencel?
No, while Tencel is a type of lyocell fiber, not all lyocell is Tencel branded. Some lyocell may come from unsustainable sources or be mixed with other fibers, and they aren't necessarily as eco-friendly as Tencel.
Is Tencel sustainable?
Yes, Tencel is one of the most sustainable fibers. It's sourced from certified wood, is fully compostable, biodegradable, and has earned the BioPreferred designation from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Brand
How are ArthCrafted products different from other bedding and home brands?
ArthCrafted believes in bedding that is as soft on the earth as it is on your bed. The old-fashioned textile industry has spent years consuming tons of water, harming animals, and polluting our oceans and air with toxic chemicals. We’re here with a fresh start: home goods that are earth-friendly, skin-friendly, cruelty-free, and super-soft. Because we think a comfy night’s sleep is even comfier when it doesn’t harm the environment.
We’re committed to using sustainably-produced fibers but that doesn’t have to mean a compromise on comfort. We don’t only choose materials because they’re better for the planet than the more traditional options, but because they just plain feel better, too.
